Q: I am beyond frustrated with my four tomato plants. Every year when those plants begin making fruit, I get tomatoes with flat, brown or black bottoms and are only half of a fruit. It's not all of the tomatoes, it's just a few. I read that it has something to do with not enough calcium in the dirt so I have put every egg shell I get into the garden for the last several years and it still has not fixed anything.
